Data Analysis Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Data data quality Manager to join a large financial services company in surrey, we are looking for someone to develop, embed and maintain a data quality framework to ensure that data quality issues are quickly identified, prioritised and resolved.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and embed a suite of data quality policies, tools and procedures. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness on an on-going basis and take remedial action as appropriate.
  • Lead the development of the organisation's understanding of the risks associated with data quality management; driving awareness and understanding of the issues across the business.
  • Using data quality management tools identify and prioritise data quality issues. Work with data owners to develop and deliver action plans to address data issues; monitor progress and evaluate outcomes to derive maximum organisational learning.
  • Identify, design, agree and implement data quality monitoring processes, including data metrics, data profiling, and data directory. Produce regular reports to assure management that risks are being addressed and managed.
  • Ensure that the data quality requirements of Solvency II and other regulatory frameworks are being addressed and are understood by the business.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of how the insurance industry operates, including an understanding of insurance and reinsurance business data and terminology
  • Significant experience of working in a role designing, implementing and managing data quality processes
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of Solvency II data management requirements and data governance processes
  • Significant theoretical and practical understanding of how to identify data quality issues and gaps and how to develop and embed data control methodologies and process checks
  • Knowledge of data quality tools, including data profiling and data quality reporting; experience in designing and implementing data metrics and data control tools
  • Able to analyse the causes of data failure and advise on business solutions to address data quality issues

  • Able to use understanding of data quality to drive business improvement.
