Category Assistant required for a leading Defence & Security company based in Farnborough to Provide operational support to Category Buyers and Category Leads, acting as first port of call for all shopping carts and customer queries. The Category Assistant will take responsibility for the delivery of discreet projects, post contract award, to ensure anticipated benefits of new agreements are realised by the business.

This is an entry level role which would suit someone looking to gain further experience within a procurement position. The successful candidate will have 12 months experience within the procurement industry or be a recent graduate within a relevant degree. Potentially working towards CIPS although not expected to be held.

Adhoc travel to other principle sites within the West Midlands and South West so a clean driving licence will be required.

You will be organised and methodical, have excellent interpersonal and customer handling skills, be able to demonstrate Commercial awareness and have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
