SAP BI/BO 4.0 Consultant - Dutch Speaking - Gent, Belgium.
My client in Gent, Belgium is looking for an SAP BI/Business Objects Solution Designer.
Description & tasks:
* You have the full technical responsibility for the success of the chosen design, construction, application and integration into the system of a technical specialization.
* You are responsible for the implementation of the BI environment
* Based on the reporting needs, you define the data model according to client's BI regulations. Here you make the correct evaluation from what the standard business content can deliver.
- You are responsible for the technical implementation of SAP BO BI pieces.
- You are responsible for the follow-up of the implementation of the data model in an Oracle database (Actual DastaStore).
- You are responsible for monitoring the implementation of SAP BO Event Insight pieces.
- You provide the necessary transport requests based on predefined analyzes.
- You check the work performed using a predefined test plan.
- You will ensure that in the monitoring within the correct parameters are followed-up so that all errors are immediately visible in order to achieve the agreed service levels.
- You keep the documentation up to date.
- You are responsible for the successful implementation of requested changes (Maintenance).
- You are responsible for the life cycle management and updates/upgrades to an existing BW environment.
Other tasks:
- You will assist the project team in resolving technical issues.
- Based on your expertise you make proposals for improvements within the framework of the BI project.
Expected knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the SAP reporting tools like BO 4.0.
- Good knowledge of SAP BO Data Services 4.0.
- Knowledge of BI monitoring and reporting facilities.
- Knowledge of Oracle used as source system for BI/SAP BO 4.0.
- Knowledge of SAP BO Event Insight.
- Good knowledge of ITIL processes, APM and how they can be used to guarantee service levels.
- Knowledge of various application communication layers.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years SAP experience overall.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Business Intelligence.
- Experience in SAP BO BI and SAP BO Data Services.
- A first experience in SAP Event Insight is a plus.
- More than 8 years experience in the IT world.
- Practical experience in setting up and using the SAP monitoring tools within a monitoring landscape.
- Basic knowledge of project methodology.
