Global Market Research & Insight Assistant Manager - Oil & Gas  2 days per week

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Global Market Research & Insight Assistant Manager to provide support to the current Global Heavy Duty Engine Oil (HDEO) market research consultant to deliver market research projects on time and on budget. This is a job share role and may be possible that a permanent opportunity is available after 6 months or a further extension.

Accountabilities include helping to build Global brands through research and insights to help the business grow and to help resolve major challenges or issues.

This is a hands on role where you will be liaising with a wide range of third parties in order to evaluate their findings through market research from direct feedback with users of heavy goods vehicles and heavy duty engine oil ie. truckers at the depots etc. This research will then help to ensure key findings and recommendations gained through research are built into marketing strategies and plans. You will be interacting with Global HDEO, B2B and Customer Marketing Research & Insights Consultants as part of a virtual team.

In essence this role involves liaising with the agencies conducting the hands on market research, ensuring they know who to talk to, the questions to ask and how to do this. You will be using this valuable information for brand tracking, looking at the health of these products, evaluating how well they are performing, evaluating new products and testing new products within the market place.

You must be able to proactively identify insights and find creative ways to look at the business and be highly effective at presenting complex information and analysis. Strong project management skills are also highly desirable as well as a proven ability to negotiate priorities.

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
