We are looking for 2 C++ software engineers with strong knowlegde in 3GPP protocols.


Development, integration and test of 3GPP layer 2 and layer 3 programming APIs and test scenarios for GSM, WCDMA and LTE signaling protocol, mobility and Inter-RAT tests - Support of R&S 3GPP layer 2 – 3 protocol testing products for GSM, WCDMA and LTE - Analysis and follow-up of customer problem reports via PR databases and by e-mail / telephone

Development Tools

- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 for test script development in C/C++
- CMW500 C++ test case development API and libs
- R&S protocol testing software tools for log file analysis
- R&S GLORIS PR database as a customer ticketing system
- Rational ClearCase for software configuration & build management
- Bugzilla for bug tracking

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in GSM, WCDMA or LTE RAN protocol stack / test case development
- Very good know-how of relevant 3GPP LTE (mandatory), WCDMA (optional) and GSM (optional) PHY, layer 2 and layer 3 radio access network core and test specifications
- Experience in object oriented design and implementation of protocol test cases or protocol stacks in C / C++ for above RATs
- Practical experience working with mobile communications testers and test mobiles
- Very good communication and presentation skills (English)
- Team player used to work in multicultural and international project teams

2 software engineers

Time Scales
- Start in Sept 2012
- Initial contract for three months
- Long term project, requires commitment for at least 2 years work in Munich/Germany
