Leading Global Solutions provider has a long term contract opportunity for a Systems Programmer in Dublin.
You will perform detailed performance and capacity analysis assessments of current workloads across a number of z/OS based transactional systems (IMS, MQ & DB2) with a view to recommending and implementing configuration improvements to facilitate projected increased workloads to meet customer requirements. Work closely with the account project team and customer to establish capacity requirements, develop a structured plan and approach to implement required infrastructure changes
Technical Skills:
- Minimum 7 years system programming skills in IMS, WebSphere MQ and DB2
- Experience and working knowledge of IBM Tivoli Omegamon (IMS. MQ and DB2)
- Experience of IMS and DB2 InfoSphere products.
- IMS Knowledge-Based Log Analysis tool such as MQ Supportpacs
- Experience of IMS, MQ & DB2 performance & capacity analysis skills.
Competencies & Experience:
- Ability to think laterally, a self motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven experiences to deliver project objectives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work and mentor within a team.
- Project Management or leadership experience would be a benefit but not essential.
