The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited) the following tasks:
- Provide a technical escalation point for the incident management helpdesk;
- Design, implement and support WinTel systems and Servers;
- Supply 3rd level technical support for core systems including MS Exchange, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, desktop SOE, Citrix, VMWare, System Center Configuration Manager;
- Provide support for the department's storage platform; and
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of Information Technology procedures and standards.
- Extensive experience administering, architecting and supporting Wintel Server and Desktop infrastructure solutions;
- Demonstrated high level of expertise and certification with one or more of the following technologies VMware vSphere 5,
Citrix Xenapp 6.5, Exchange 2010, Windows Server 2008, Dell Compellent Storage. - Previous experience with the administration of SQL Server 2008, Oracle, Active Directory, Microsoft failover clustering and System Center suite.
- Established skills in the design and architecture of highly available business critical applications and services.
- Expert knowledge of networking protocols and security practices
