Description
As part of the Client Server Support Unit located in their office in (SPAIN), the consultant will be responsible for:
- Installation and configuration of the Solaris & Linux Servers (Redhat, Oracle Enterprise Linux) for various landscapes like ERP, Mail and other applications.
- Installation and Configuration of client standard tools for backup, monitoring and administration.
- Implementing configurations related to SAN, multi-paths, security and user/group administration.
- Administration of various services and infrastructure services running SMTP Email relays, DNS-Bind, List Servers, MySQL Database Servers, Apache Web Servers & FTP Servers.
- Troubleshooting any application or connectivity issues.
- Document monitoring and maintenance procedures.
Experience:
- Good experience in deployment and support of ERP and Web environments.
- Good skills in installation, configuration and administration of web Servers using Apache, PHP, Tomcat & MySQL technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills a must. Practical experience with interactive systems, advanced understanding of relational databases.
- Knowledge of Service Level Management Principles.
- The consultant may be requested to provide stand-by' services during weekends, holidays and outside of the normal working hours.
- At least 4+ years of experience in installation, configuration and administration of Solaris and Linux environments.
