Communications Adviser - 12 months - Warwick - Utilities
On behalf of my major utilities client I am looking to recruit a Communications Adviser based in Warwick for a period of 12 months.
The role itself is to provide strategic and tactical employee communication advice and support to members of the designated business area in order to support them in delivering their business objectives.
Key Tasks:
* Work with colleagues and business contacts to understand their employee communication requirements and prioritise and translate those into meaningful, relevant and impactful communications
* Develop content from initial brief to final sign-off for use in a variety of media
* Manage the organisation of events eg Leadership Briefings, Town Halls
* Maintain the annual communications plan for Capital Delivery and ensure mechanisms are in place to measure the effectiveness of employee communications eg infonet site hits, places booked at events, feedback received
* Gather news and generate suitable copy for internal communication channels
* Update the internal Intranet and sharepoint sites on a regular basis
Experience required:
* Proven ability to develop and implement employee communication plans and campaigns
* Expertise, knowledge and experience in copy-writing and editing for a range of internal communication channels
* Able to translate complex safety, financial and performance messages for internal audiences
* Experience of dealing with people at all levels within an organisation
* Excellent PC skills, particularly in the use of Word, PowerPoint and of Graphics/Desk-Top Publishing software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Creative and technical skills to at least intermediate standard for presentations
* Awareness of the organisation and its activities and challenges
