A Senior Localization and Globalization Expert is required by a Major Telecoms Vendor to act as s Senior Localization and Globalization Expert within their Smartphone business group.. The desired candidate would work within a high level team focussed around improving the company`s current Localization and Globalization product range. The Senior Localization and Globalization Expert will firstly be responsible for evaluating the telecom vendors current Localization and Globalization Process, methods, tools and products then helping them improve this to the industry standard.The role and responsibilities:
*Lead the Globalization & Localization team, work together with the team. To be responsible for the competence building, coaching and implementation in Globalization and Localization area. To help products achieve good competitiveness, low cost and good user experience, to design, devise various Telco business Intelligence models and to document the business requirements
*Provide design guidelines, proposals and concrete countermeasures on how to deal with issues related to globalization and localization which shall or should be met during product development, delivery, operation and maintenance to review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and to develop or modify BI applications
*Tools and solution of English source and Target language strings management, i.e., centralized platform or database to manage the UI strings of all mobiles, how to make them work smoothly with Development team , testing team, and globalization team?
*How to organize translation and linguistic test under iterative development mode?
*How to extract the terminology from the content; what kind of tool is necessary?
*To be involved in building medium and long term architecture and DFX technologies planning (X can be: Globalization / Localization, Architecture, CPI / Documentation, Serviceability ...).
Desired Skills & Experience
*Above 8 years` successful globalization and localization experiences in ICT industry, especially for user devices (i.e. Smartphone);
*You can evaluate alternative architectures, are sensitive at advanced industry technologies and can introduce the necessary key technologies to improve efficiency;
*End to End view or lifecycle view;
*Good team work and good motivation during work; you are expected to have the ambition to realize the implementation of your vision; to expand, distribute your competence and forge an industry leading team;
*Excel in both written and verbal English Communication;
*Bachelor or Master degree or above.
