Description

One of the UK's leading suppliers of bespoke handling systems to clients in the Oil & Gas, Process and Biomass industries is now looking to recruit a contract Commissioning Engineer, for an initial period of 6 months.

You'll be responsible for co-ordinating and planning the commissioning process of a new project for a major name in Biomass energy. You will attend pre-commissioning meetings and take a leading role in planning the commissioning process, ensuring all project elements are compliant with the final operational requirements. Working predominantly on the end client site in North Yorkshire, in the initial stages of the process you will hold progress meetings at the supplier's site close by.

You'll be able to demonstrate a strong commissioning background within a materials handling environment, with experience of leadership and working autonomously to meet strict project deadlines. An electrical bias is required, as you will be required to set up and calibrate instruments related to pressure, weight and temperature. Due to the Biomass-related environments, knowledge of ATEX directives and experience working in hazardous areas is essential. Applicants must also demonstrate clear written communication skills, as they will be required to produce not only Risk and Method Statements but also daily reports to both supplier and end client.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start a long term contract for a prestigious company with a diverse and exciting portfolio of clients. For more information on this contract please forward your CV or contact Jon Armstrong.
