My financial client based in Paris has a requirement for an experienced MVS Production Engineer for an initial 12 month contract starting in January 2013. The successful applicant will work in a team integrating new applications into the mission critical production cycle. You will review, in close collaboration with system engineers, Middleware engineers and architects the technical designs produced by the application developers which will include scheduling, monitoring, backup, alerting and definition of application objects of MQSeries Queues and DB2 tables. Candidates should be able to demonstrate in-depth MVS knowledge incorporating TSO, JCL, PL/1, Cobol, DB2, CICS, MQSeries, ISPF and OPC. Any experience of CA-7, Cortex, Endeavor and Changeman would also be advantageous. Applicants need to be fluent in both English and French and this is potentially a long term assignment within an excellent working environment.
