The Company

Our client is a market leading solution provider and consultancy focused on critical change projects within the financial markets. Its customers include major retail and investment banks, wealth management organizations, and trading houses. They implement a wide range of front to Back Office solutions for game-changing banking projects ranging from system upgrades, data migrations, decommissioning of Legacy systems, and full-scale implementations of brand new cutting-edge systems in the capital markets, treasury, wealth management, and energy space.

The Team

The team is comprised of some of the most experienced consultants from a wide range of business, technical, and vendor technology backgrounds. Every consultant grows to be an industry expert with a deep understanding of markets platforms and technologies as well as best practices within the space.

The Role

You will be responsible for growing and leading a small team of specialist QA Test Analysts, providing direction and focus for Front Office, Equities related project initiatives while remaining very "hands on". You'll leverage on your in-depth, local market Cash Equities and Compliance knowledge and experience in Exchange Based Trading/Front Office environments along with experience working on large, complex projects. From a technical perspective you'll be proficient with SQL Scripting and test management tools such as QC - Quality Centre or Rational tool suites and comfortable with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Requirements of the role:

  • 6 - 8 years testing experience, 2-4 years leading/managing small test teams (essential).
  • Strong, current local market Cash Equities knowledge (essential).
  • Experience with Exchange based trading, Front Office (essential).
  • Knowledgeable in local market compliance.
  • Experience working with Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proficient with SQL Scripting and Test Management tools (eg QC).
  • Strong understanding of both the SDLC and Project life cycle.
  • IT Degree/Diploma or Industry relevant certifications (eg ISTQB).
