Senior Electrical Design engineer, Leeds
Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in the Electrical Building Services Department. This is a senior role and the person will be responsible for all the usual day-to-day duties associated with a senior engineer.
Duties
* Carry out conceptual design studies producing design schemes and deliverables such as design philosophies.
* Carry out detailed electrical engineering including preparation of calculations and drawings for full suite of electrical building services design.
* Review submissions and installations for compliance with design intent and good engineering practice, being resident on a construction site for short periods as required for construction assistance.
* Witness commissioning activities, trials and factory acceptance tests for compliance with design intent and good engineering practice.
* Provide support to proposals as required.
* Liaise and coordinate with other disciplines within the UK offices.
* Manage the Electrical Building Services input to projects, including the production of deliverables on time, and the efficient and lean use of resources.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience (consider someone with commensurate experience also)
* Membership of the IET or CIBSE (to Chartered level) highly desirable.
* Demonstrated capability and experience in Electrical Engineering Design.
* Working knowledge of Amtech cable and short circuit calculation design package.
* Working knowledge of DiaLux or relux lighting design package
* 10+ years relevant experience is ideal.
