My client is actively seeking a skilled an experienced J2EE Developer with a good background in working upon J2EE, Apache and RESTful webservices (Tomcat Instances etc) and a variety of middleware components.

The project is working on an enterprise migration project and therefore the project requires someone with exceptional XML, XQuery, XSLT and ETL based background to enable vast quantities of data to be migrated to a new enterprise framework.

This will be working on a huge project migration and will take on autonomous responsibility for development programmes within an initially nationwide and eventually global business setting.

You will have strong Java, J2EE developer analysis, development experience with skills working upon Tomcat, Swing desktop environments, Eclipse IDE, Maven and with good knowledge of, Web Services, JDBC, Oracle and SQL business environments. The role will encompass circa 30% migration service design and 70% migration systems development.

You will have skills within relational database environments (Oracle and SQL) and will definitely have working within unit and component based testing and development (RAD, XP or TDD)

You will be working independently and will be able to self-manage work within iterative / agile environments (User story based) and will have experience within large heterogeneous business environments.

You will have strong communication skills, the ability to work with business users as well technical teams and will have pas experience as Technical Lead, working with project end users and project staff
