Description
A KERS Mechanical Technician is required to work on a rolling 6 month contract for one of the largest Motorsport F1 brands, not only to work on their F1 projects but to also get involved with their Advanced Engineering project throughout the business.Responsibilities will be to ensure that all the parts are supplied to the agreed schedules and build specs and proactively liaise with other departments in the factory to ensure the parts are delivered to schedule and discuss, plan and arrange the work schedule with the foreman.
The successful candidate will be assembling and in-life servicing of mechanical KERS units including MGU's, water pumps and other assemblies that may be developed.
Assist in problem solving and resolution in conjunction with the Build Shop Foreman and relevant designers.
To be part of the Build Shop team and support the activities of the department as directed by the Build Shop Foreman.
Must be practical and "hands-on" Technician-type to build and strip of components which will be a regular part of the work, so must not be afraid of getting their hands dirty, must have meticulous attention to detail and a sound knowledge of fundamental engineering principles.
