Description
Front End Web Developer, UI Developer needed in York (commutable from Leeds), Yorkshire for a minimum 3 month contract. As a skilled Front End Web Developer, you will have exceptional core skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript development. You should also have exposure to Digital/New Media work.To be considered, your skill set should feature (most of):
Strong experience with User Interface development
User Interfaces development for enterprise applications with hand coded HTML, CSS, Javascript
Experience of JQuery or MooTools
Full lifecycle experience
Good understanding of Object Oriented (OO) approach, processes and methods
Strong client facing skills
In addition, any experience in the following would be extremely beneficial:
Flash, ActionScript or Silverlight skills
Experience of other languages eg MCML, XHTML, DHTML and XML/XSLT
Experience of large sites, built around content management software
Background of working closely with Graphic Designers and other developers

Responsibilities Overview
Key responsibilities of the role are to support Technical Leads/Architects in the development of world class enterprise applications for our customers in the media & entertainment industry and develop custom User Interfaces (UI) for digital media clients.
You will be expected to work alone at the direction of senior team members in a development team environment and are expected to write quality code for deployment of on-time and on schedule set by Project Managers.
As part of the Web team, you must ensure clients end product meets quality standards for enterprise software applications.
As a result of the above you should be confident, demonstrate initiative, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with external customers.
