Description
Software Engineer - C++ - Grid Computing - SQL - C# - STL - Contract - London - Software Engineer - C++ - Grid Computing - SQL - C# - STL - Contract - London.The successful candidate will primarily focus on the analysis, design, and development of the organisations grid computing system. The software is mature, stable and well supported so much of the anticipated work is new development. The technology stack includes native C++, C#, .Net, with a little WPF and WCF, so the successful candidate should be prepared to develop across these technologies, but primarily in C++.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing against a project plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that requirements, engineering, development and deployment follow the organisations best practices.
- Responsible for supervising unit testing, defect tracking and reporting
- Contribute to long-term product architecture and technical evolution.
- Participate actively in the team organisation and contribute to improve productivity.
- Maintain adherence to the organizations design and coding standards.
- Responsible for writing and maintaining documentation describing.
- Program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and modifications.
- Provide regular status and progress towards project development milestones.
Key skills required
- Minimum of 5 years C++ development (Expert Level).
-Grid computing skills.
- WPF and WCF skills.
- STL and COM experience.
- Minimum of 3 years C#. Net.
- Software architectural design, using recognised patterns.
- Experience of programming with C++ against MS SQL Server.
- TFS, Subversion or Similar source control systems.
- Strong Technical, process, interpersonal and written communicational skills.
Desirable skills include; Microsoft Excel, XLL programming, Gigaspace/Gemstone/Coherence cache technologies, MQ, Agile, and derivatives knowledge.
