Description
Quality engineer required for CCGT project in the North East for an initial 12 months contract.The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all quality systems and associated accreditations and approvals are maintained and that manufacturing projects are supported from a quality engineering perspective.
Principal Responsibilities:
Management and Leadership
-Liaison with other functions to ensure integrated approach to configuration control, change management and product life cycle management
-Liaising with procurement function to ensure effective supplier quality assurance
-Developing initiatives that will support the effectiveness of the quality function
-Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relationships among peers and colleagues
Operational Output:
Maintenance of the Audit Systems
-Maintenance and development of third party, regulatory and customer approvals
-Creating and maintaining identified KPIs necessary for the quantitative sustainment of the quality function
-Installation of standard systems of working in respect of product and process compliance
Continuous Improvement Manager
-Supporting initiatives to evolve the nature of quality control, inspection plans, delegated authorisation and verification activities
-Verifying manufacturing processes and aiding qualification of new processes
Health, safety and environment
-Uphold processes that assure the effective health, safety and environmental best practices as defined by HSE management system
