ASP.NET / Web Developer Contract XHTML JQUERY HTML Java Script SQL CSSASP.NET / Web Developer - Contract - Short Term
This is a new and key technical role within my client's small company in which the successful Developer will be expected to develop and grow client relationships, along side developing and adding functionality to existing client sites. My client has recently secured a large contract and requires a short term contractor (between 4 - 6 weeks) to work alongside the exiting team of developers whilst they search for the right permanent person.
Primarily the ASP.NET / Web Developer role will be developing and supporting the company's existing range of clients software products, both desktop and web based and developing future industrial strength software solutions. My client works with a broad range of companies from small locally established businesses to multinational firms. Due to this range of clients the role will be varied and involve differing amounts of client contact and support. The successful ASP.NET Developer should have a minimum of 2 years experience.
In addition to technical skills, the successful applicant will be required to possess excellent communication and project management skills. Flexibility is essential, as is the ability to adapt to the clients changing needs. As you will be joining a team of six developers all working on their own projects, it is essential that you are able to work confidently on your own (and as part of a small team for larger contracts).
Role of the ASP.NET / Web Developer
* Liaise with the web support department to help maintain front end XHTML JQUERY HTML Java Script CSS along with implementing backend SQL, ASP.net (V2.0-V4.0) C# modifications.
* Liaise with internal developers in maintaining existing applications along with new application project planning.
Work closely with product support staff.
* Work with external design agencies to help implement new Website functionality.
* Liaise and attend meetings as necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
* Where appropriate, attend trade exhibitions and deliver training courses.
Essential Skills
- 2 years experience with C# in ASP.Net
- A good working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
- Ability to work at the back end with SQL Server interfacing
- Excellent Client communication skills
- Visual Objects (VO) Experience
- An understanding of Photo Shop (Used when sent through from designers)
