Description
My client is looking for a Mechanical Draughtsman to join a leading independent Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering design consultancy on a six month contract basis.You will be required to produce piping layouts and machinery arrangements for commercial ship and boat design projects, using Autocad based CAD systems.
Responsibilities include:
-Schematic Design major vessels systems (vessels up to 55m).
-Machinery / shaftline arrangement drawings.
-3D modelling of piping systems for production support.
Practical marine background required.
Projects range from small commercial (20m), through large yacht (130m) to large defence (200m). THe projects range from concept design through production engineering to build support and consultancy.
