A Software Product Assurance Engineer is required for a 6 month contract role based in Stevenage paying £Market Rate p/hr Limited Company Rate.Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. Their activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, together with avionics and a wide range of space equipment and associated ground infrastructure.
Outline of Job Role:
The Software Product Assurance engineer will support at prime/project level, will support the Product Assurance Manager for Software Product Assurance activities and the procurement engineers for the product assurance of the sub contracted software and the ASIC/FPGA design models.
The Software Product Assurance engineer will define the project SW PA baseline to satisfy applicable SW PA requirements, applicable ASIC/FPGA PA design.
Will ensure that Sub contractors proposals comply with requirements related to software and ASIC/FPGA design models, ensuring that the appropriate system is defined and implemented by each SW Sub contractors and equipment provider.
Typical Tasks include
For software Product Assurance activities:
Produce the Software Product Assurance plan
Interface with PAM and Customer, for all subjects
Manage the Product assurance actions list related to SW
Participate to project and quality progress meetings when necessary
Participate to the project risk identification and analysis
Support or participate to reviews performed at system level that Inc software aspects
Control software related documents produced by the system engineering team
Support to the Software Architect regarding independent software verification and validation
For Product Assurance of the sub contracted software activities
Co- ordinate with the Procurement engineer
Produce the Software Product Assurance requirements
Participate in the drafting of the SOW
Verify the compliance of sub contractors proposal
Perform preventative and corrective audits of sub - contractor as necessary
