Job/Role Purpose

The delivery of assigned projects in accordance with the company project delivery process.

Key Accountabilities

Co-ordinating and setting up of project files, document control and change management
Supervision of appointed contractors and supply chain
Early identification of project procedures and assistance in identification of variances with potential corrective action
Assisting in the delivery to the Project Manager and Project Sponsor of associated documentation to meet safety, quality, programme and cost objectives via the implementation of the project strategy and using the defined project management arrangements within the internal management system
To satisfy the Project Sponsor and end-user in terms of handover documentation and implementation of the contractor's defects liability period
Ensure integrated site specific safety in terms of operations. Implementation and recording of site weekly inspections and corrective actions

Key Responsibilities

Highest degree of professional application and communication across all project disciplines and working relationships commensurate with the ethics of the Project Delivery Process
To work closely with the appointed Engineering Manager to meet technical objectives and implementation of revisions where applicable
To assist the Project Manager in ensuring Risk Management and identification is implemented by the use of risk mitigation for successful project delivery
For monitoring and managing the project delivery budget in assistance with the Project Manager
To be proactively involved in project delivery and strategy through all stages of the Project as delegated by the Project Manager
To assist the Project Manager in ensuring positive health and safety environments, meeting of targets and early improvements in the project delivery process
Deliver Project Team Motivation and Management as delegated by the Project Manager
To identify and communicate lessons learned to the Head of Project Management and Project Delivery to enable improvements in the integrated management system
To support the Project Manager and build early and continuous Project Sponsor confidence throughout project delivery and maintain effective working relationships with other authorities / disciplines
Develop relationships with internal and supply chain resources, support customer interface and coordinate change configuration procedures during the project delivery
Continuous improvements of site project performance and safety
For exercising powers and fulfilling the obligations delegated by the Project Manager under defined terms and conditions and for undertaking the duties of the Superintending Officer

Qualifications
HND (or equivalent qualification) Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge
Principles of best practice project management procedures
Understanding of contractor management issues including safe systems of work.

Experience
Experience in technical issues and risks in line with the project risk register. (i.e. impact and address)
Experience in communication with Project Sponsors and interpretation of customer requirements/supporting customer interface and ensuring specifications are produced and approved

Due to the nature of this company, the succesful candidate will have to undergo security clearance therefore Scantec can only accept applications from individuals who had lived in the UK and held a full UK passport for at least 5 years.
