Systems EngineerMy client is a leader in the design and manufacture of nuclear controls systems. They are currently involved in a significant project concerning civil nuclear reactors for the American and the Chinese markets.
There is an opportunity for Systems Engineers to join their team in Dorset on a contract basis for an initial 6-12 months, although there is a great chance of the contract being extended beyond that time frame.

THE CANDIDATE
Systems Engineer
The candidate ideally needs to have:
* Extensive systems engineering experience in an Electronics / Electrical / C&I Systems environment
* Experience in highly regulated environments (Military, Civil Power, Aerospace, Nuclear, etc)
* Demonstrable experience as a Systems Engineer delivering in a design or qualification environment
* Systems integration experience
Preferable criteria include:
* Experience with Turnkey systems and safety reviews
* An ability to specialise in Nuclear Qualification
* Competency with age / obsolescence management
THE ROLE
Systems Engineer
The role will be very hands-on and will involve reporting to the Programme Manager at the site. A lot of the role will consist of design and getting directly involved with the systems at hand, so a good technical knowledge of systems engineering in an electronics / electrical environment is important to be able to do the job to a high standard.
Some of the role may also involve dealing with obsolescence and replacing aging technology or components.
