Our client, a charitable organisation / education provider, is currently looking to recruit an Infrastructure Desktop Technician to join their team in Guildford, on a fixed term contract running until September 30th 2013.
Job Description:

Successful candidates for the role of Infrastructure Desktop Technician would be working in a small busy team dealing with support calls escalated via the Service Desk for a 1200 strong user base, and dealing with loans and moves, and contributing to the Windows 7 and Office 2010 upgrade.

You will have experience of imaging machines, installing and supporting software, and resolving technical issues for a wide range of desktop PC equipment. You will have experience of working in a customer focused, ITIL based environment. You will be self-motivated, show initiative and able to work alone, while knowing when to escalate to colleagues.

Other work will include ensuring good records and documentation is maintained, Service Desk calls are completed to the satisfaction of customers, and the CMDB accurately reflects changes made.

Essential:
* Good technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and apply knowledge and experience to a situation.
* The ability to get on with a wide range of people at all levels.
* The ability to communicate clearly and without jargon in written and spoken form.

Technologies:
* Windows XP / 7.
* Office .
* Active Directory.
* Exchange 2010.
* Citrix XenDeskop/ XenApp.
* User and software Support.
* Desktop hardware support:
* HP laptops and desktops.
* Printers.
* Ipads and tablets.
