Infrastructure Desktop Technician
My client based in Guildford is seeking an Infrastructure Desktop Technician to join them until September 2013. The company offer services to the educational sector and are continually growing their successful team.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide IT service support across all areas
Dealing with support calls escalated via the Service Desk
Contribution to the Windows and Office upgrade
Installing and supporting software
Resolving technical issues with a variety of Desktop PC equipment
System Administration
Maintenance of System Documentation
Take part in the Incident Management process

Key Skills Required:
Windows XP/7
Office
Exchange
Citrix
User and Software Support
Desktop Hardware Support (laptops/printers/ipads)
Knowledge of ITIL Service Support

The Candidate
We are seeking someone with a strong background in Desktop Support. You will be joining a small team and heavily supporting the technicians and analysts within the department. You must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The desired candidate will offer a good understanding of the technical systems and have the ability to diagnose and solve technical problems.
We would like someone enthusiastic with a desire to constantly develop his or her knowledge and skills within IT.
