Web Applications Developer
Experienced software systems and application developer able to work with a team in a deadline intensive environment to produce and maintain web services, dynamic applications, and publishing tools. Applications and services must be flexible, extensible, robust, and highly scalable. Applicant should have a strong understanding of object-oriented design and full life cycle software development processes including requirements analysis, technical design, scoping, and estimating. Ideal applicant will have a solid understanding of UI design and usability issues. Strong overall communication and documentation skills are required. Applicant should be able to lead and participate in both technical and non-technical discussions. Position entails working directly with the customer. Applicant should be highly motivated, able to self-manage, and able to work well in a team environment.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of JavaScript experience
- Java, JQuery, JSON
- SQL
- Unix
- General web app and website experience including: JSP/XML/HTML/CSS/AJAX
- Good communication skills
- Work closely with both small and large teams. Customer contact.
- Bachelors degree in a technology/science field. Prefer: Computer Science or Engineering degree.
Nice to have:
- SQL
- UI design and usability experience
- Experience developing productivity applications
- Experience with content management systems
- NoSQL DBs (ie. CouchDB/MongoDB)
