Avanti Recruitment is currently working with a specialist client in the scientific development sector to recruit for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This is an opportunity to work closely with advanced technological development from initial concept through to manufacture of their specialist product. You will be involved with fundamental design and development of the design of a Diode Pumped Solid State Laser (DPSSL). Ideal Mechanical Design Engineers will meet the following criteria;BSc or high experience in mechanical design
Mechanical Design of Optical instrumentation or laser systems, including design, construction and testing
Ability to lead less experienced design engineers
Experienced in modelling of Cooling, heat exchange, stress and material coating.
Lead the project through all stages of development.
