Description
Senior Web Engineer: Javascript (OO), ActionScript, SVG, Engineering.Our client, a global new media brand with a commercial presence across 30 different countries, urgently requires a Senior Web Engineer to work on a complex project, involving JavaScript (OO) & ActionScript in relation to SVG.
The ideal candidate will have experience of overcoming cross-browser deficiencies or solving similar complex problems. As a senior technologist you should also be capable of looking at all current technologies, with the capability of writing extensive (new) ActionScript and JavaScript code to emulate the existing functionality already available in Webkit based browsers. A comprehensive understanding of cross-browser compatibility will also be required.
Key technical skills -
-A strong JavaScript Engineer.
-ActionScript exposure with an understanding of how to physically code in ActionScript.
-A working knowledge and/or commercial exposure to SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics).
-Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and resolving issues/functionality attached to this.
-Software/Web Engineering background; this contract is not likely to suit a traditional Front-end/UI Developer lacking heavyweight (OO) JavaScript.
This is a challenging project, which will require solid all-round technical ability and excellent communication skills you will be expected to liaise with all areas of the business.
