DATS have an excellent opportunity to join the existing team of a large oil & gas company working on design and construction projects in Aberdeen on a contract basis.Duties
* The purpose of the electrical maintenance support team is to ensure the technical and operational integrity of all electrical offshore oil and gas equipment including (but not limited too); LV Motors, HV Motors, switchgear, alternators, ex Equipment (maintaining certification), electrical protection equipment, UPS and battery systems. The candidate will provide day to day maintenance support for electrical offshore equipment issues. This will include resolving problems and making improvements, assist in work planning and management of electric equipment work scopes through the maintenance management system and interfacing between offshore/offshore teams and vendors.
* To provide front line support for electrical related technical and maintenance issues support to the onshore and offshore maintenance teams. Takes ownership of issues and ensures effective solutions are identified, successfully implemented and closed out.
* Responsible for coordinating electrical related support activities on a day to day and long term basis
* Coordinate planned maintenance and repair programs for electrical equipment.
* Contribute to ensuring electrical related equipment integrity, reliability, availability and performance targets are achieved
* Develop plans for equipment maintenance and overhaul and be responsible for contractor mobilisations and material availability
* Assist in improvement of electrical equipment maintenance strategies and routines.
Background & Experience
* Suitable engineering qualification or relevant industrial experience
* Essential to have understanding of electrical regulations.
* Essential to have broad knowledge and experience of all types of instrument and electrical equipment.
* Knowledge of CMMS systems essential.
* Should have a good understanding of maintenance strategies/ routines
* Previous experience in a support role preferable, but can accept suitable candidates with extensive experience in offshore maintenance roles.
* Offshore experience of oil and gas processing facilities
* Good planning and organisational skills
