Description
To create mechanical designs and advise the engineering department with respect to materials, surface finishes, environmental issues (i.e. operating conditions) and manufacturing techniques.Responsibilities:
Design and detailing of high speed electro-mechanical mechanisms, enclosures and equipments.
1. Design of electronic mounting/packaging.
2. Detailing procurement specifications for piece parts and bought in subsystems.
3. Build method capture and build procedures.
4. Interfacing with Suppliers and Manufacturers.
5. Project management of mechanical design work packages.
6. Interfacing with Technologists and Production engineering.
7. Creation of detail Product Drawings.
8. Maintain mechanical engineering PDM. (Product data management system)
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in the use of Pro Engineer Wildfire 4/5. Experience in a product data management database. eg. PDMLink.
