Our major International Trading company are looking for an experienced Sybase Developer / Development DBA to join their expanding London based team.You will work as part of our clients ?Energy Data Warehouse? Development team developing a robust solution to budget and deadline.Development, testing and tuning of Sybase IQ and Sybase ASE stored procedures.Development, testing, configuration and tuning of Sybase replication server and real time loader scripts.Act as subject matter expert within the team for Sybase IQ, Replication Server and Sybase ASE technical matters.Be responsible for the management of test database environments and test data load/refresh within the project.Work closely with the DBA team to ensure project adoption of appropriate working practices and standard DBA procedures.Proactive identification, management and escalation of technical risks and issues and provide regular status updates, reflecting progress against the development schedule.It is expected that you will have at least 4 years recent experience working as a Development DBA supporting and working with application development teams using the following technologies : Sybase IQ (v15), Sybase Replication Server with Real Time Loader and Sybase ASE (v15 & 12).It is also expected that you will have sound experience of writing Sybase ASE & IQ stored procedures as well as tuning.In addition you will have experience of designing and tuning the physical database for ASE & IQ as well as backup, load and recovery utilities.
