Software Licensing Project ManagerBristol Duration until July 2014 Pay rate 240 per day
We are looking for a contractor to support our client, a market leading aerospace company based in Bristol. Candidates should have experience of software license management, project management and have a good level of competency with MS Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint).
Other desirable skills/experience includes:
* Knowledge of GPP process
* Experience with Functional Design Software (mainly around CATIA)
* Experience in International projects (intercultural management, transnational)
Description of tasks:
* The License Product Owner is responsible for ensuring efficient usage of licenses for all Functional Design PLM software.
* Ensure the allocation of licenses between licence servers, in line with the business requirements.
* Highlight growth requirements or rationalisation of unused licenses, to optimise software licence maintenance payments.
* Ensure the optimisation of licence server solutions to minimise the level of unused licenses required for peak activity periods.
* Manage the timely renewal of licence keys, including down time periods, support resource, module configuration check and numbers available.
* Provide support with the operation of licence monitoring systems to ensure information is available to support licence optimisation activities, business planning, charge back and availability KPIs.
* Manage the business approval process for licence maintenance payments to the vendors
* Manage the activities required to ensure prompt renewal of maintenance contracts with the software vendors.
* Provide support for the technical definition of the software module content for Airbus, acting as the technical focal point for procurement and the business.
* Improve the processes for best management of software licenses across the business functions.
