My Market leading client based in the South West are looking for a Web Designer with the following skills and experience:My end client is PHP and their client is ASP (classic) so we are looking for someone who can work across both platforms, allowing the rest of the team to focus on a group wide project for the end user.
This role will be primarily focused on html and css and the person will only occasionally need to interact with PHP or ASP.
Key Responsibilities
* Web site creation, maintenance and support including:
* Creative design and build of web pages
* Solution builds adhering to industry standard and best practice
* Cross browser testing and optimisation
* Collaboration with marketing, project and development teams
* Design and build of HTML email campaigns
* Maintaining workload lists to manage own priorities
* Refresh website sections
* Updates to website meta data and SEO alterations
* Design and build of web pages
* Updates and maintenance to existing sites
* Bug fixes (HTML/CSS)
Essential Skills
* HTML and CSS
* Experience with SVN Subversion Source control or similar.
* CSS3 & HTML 5 knowledge.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Understanding of ecommerce website(s)
* Strong team player with experience of cross-functional team environments.
* Keen eye for detail, analysis and problem solving
* Effective time management and organisational skills
* Professional written and verbal communication
* Good knowledge of Adobe Suite - particularly Photoshop & Illustrator
* Knowledge of best practices with web fonts.
* Adherence to web industry standards.
Desirable Skills
* Understanding of responsive web design.
* Basic PHP knowledge
* Experience with working with WordPress.
* Understanding of web analytics.
* Experience of working on ecommerce website(s)
* Knowledge of JavaScript
* Experience with jQuery
* Understanding of ASP (Classic)
