Online Content Editor/ Publisher - Worldwide Software Company - 18 Per HourOne of the worlds largest software companies is seeking a talented Online Content Editor / Publisher to work on their corporate portals.
Tasks include reviewing content that is being posted to their portal, work out how it fits on their new portal, edit it to fit the tone and voice and posting it to the new portal. The work is fast passed so we're looking for a candidate that is happy to handle multiple of requests every day, sometimes 'working it out' and implementing it on the fly. Some CMS experience and working knowledge of HTML is required.
The Candidate will need to be advised that some days may start early or end late as this is a Global team managing Global websites, with many colleagues in other time zones.
This contract will be for 6 months, and requires an immediate start. The applicant should list website(s) that the Candidate has worked on or contributed to, that the recruiter can view, detailing their responsibilities on each website.
Tasks
Working closely with UK team. Looking at the completed requests and deciding how best to fit the content onto the new site.
Reviewing and prioritizing incoming requests, working with content owners to ensure content fit the websites Information architecture and design
Publishing content in Oracle UCM/Content Server.
Migrating, editing content blocks, cleaning up copy, code and modifying meta data
Testing and fixing content issues
Taking ownership of tasks, solving problems and driving those to completion.
Providing status, identifying gaps/ risks and escalating to the onsite supervisor where required
We're looking for a candidate with...
Copy writing/editing for the web in English
Working knowledge of HTML
A solid understanding of the web, common practices, technically diverse
Experience working with a content migration project as a contributor
Be a fast learner
The ability to maintain high quality and detail mindedness through the more repetitive tasks
Both self-motivated and strong team player
Strong communication skills in person, email and over phone
