Exciting opportunity at a leading Oil & Gas company based in Bristol for a Mechanical Engineer with Hydraulic experience working on Subsea equipment.Responsibilities
* Leading the design of subsea components and assemblies for use in oil & gas industry control systems at GEs Bristol-based Centre-of-Excellence.
* The Mechanical Engineer has technical ownership of assigned products; leads remote design resource; produces technical documentation including requirements and test procedures; and supports all designs with relevant calculations.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* HND or Degree in Engineering or international equivalent.
* Significant experience as a practicing Engineer in an Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Nuclear, Automotive or similar industry.
* Unrestricted authorisation to work in the UK.
* A positive EHS mind-set.
* Desired Characteristics: Ability to work unsupervised.
* Ability to work within teams including experience of working within a matrix structure.
* Attention to detail.
* Knowledge and experience with computer packages including MS Word & Excel; AutoCAD; MathCAD.
