Overview:
Our Telecommunications Client is looking for a French-speaking Senior Network Engineer with Business Continuity Management experience. The Senior Network Engineer will become a BCP Specialist (Business Continuity Process).
Network, Security and Internet Infrastructure:
* The LAN covers approximately 80 buildings spread over Brussels and Luxembourg.
* The connections between these buildings as WAN.
* The interconnection with other providers with dynamic routing and VPN.
* The security perimeter consists in a multi-layer infrastructure of Firewalls and VPN of different vendors.
* The incoming and outgoing accesses with the external world pass through dedicated appliances working as proxies and reverse proxies.
* DNS infrastructure and authentication Servers are part of our domain of competences.
Responsibilities and Services include:
* Managing the whole infrastructure of the European Commission.
* Day to day operation.
* Construction and design.
* Testing of new equipment, releases and configurations.
* Development of the services.
* Act as the interface between technical/operational team and the client for BCP.
* Responsible of the BCP escalation process inside the organization.
* Follow-up of the continuous improvement of the BCP process.
* Ensure the development of multiple business continuity plans for different pre-defined disaster BCP scenarios for the different services delivered by the organization.
* Risk management: Ensuring that risks identified and pertaining to the BCP/NSCP processes are addressed.
* Ensure that adequate BCP documentation is developed for the different Digit C2-NS services and maintenance of this documentation.
* Planning and leading DRP (disaster recovery plan) tests and ensure correct review of processes and documentation if needed after the tests.
* Planning and leading BCP tests and ensure correct review of processes and documentation if needed after the tests.
* Ensuring DRP documentation and processes are in line with the NSCP and BCP processes.
* BCP processes compliance with corporate Company policies.
* Train the organization on these BCP processes.
* Analyse impact of other processes on the BCP's.
Skills and Experience:
* Basic Business Continuity Management knowledge.
* Disaster Recovery Management knowledge.
* Project Management skills.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Customer and Quality focus.
* Sense for pro-activity and attention to detail.
* Ability to understand complex situations and provide recommendations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication (French and English).
* MPLS technology (EoMPLS, VPLS).
* Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS), QoS, Multicast, Tunneling, Internet sharing etc.
* CISCO LAN Switches, CISCO Routers and CISCO CSM (load balancing of Firewalls and layer 4 switching).
* At least CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Associate), being able to become CCNP (Certified Cisco Network Professional) within 1 year.
* Good knowledge of Security and Internet services.
* CBCP, CBRM, ITIL V3 certifications or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
Other Details:
* Provision of the above mentioned services based in Luxembourg, with a possibility to work in Brussels about 2 day per month.
* Project Business hours: Regular shifts between 7H-19H >= being able to regularly start at 7AM and being able to regularly end at 7PM.
* Occasional Network interventions outside of normal working hours may be requested.
