Client:

Our client a leading software company requires 2 iOS developers for 6 month contract in Dublin City Centre, Ireland.

Role:

You will work within the Engineering team in our Dublin office to deliver frameworks and apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry, or Windows 7. These applications will support capture using the phones cameras and microphones, interface with onboard security capabilities, leverage GPS capabilities, and communicate with a server using web services over a secure channel. The Mobile Developer is expected to have experience in one or more device platforms, possess the flexibility and desire to learn new technologies, have strong knowledge of app deployment capabilities, and can demonstrate solid UI/UX design.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on assigned software design, development, testing, and documentation tasks;
  • Work closely with a team to integrate designs, components, and ideas together;
  • Strive to improve capabilities, pick up new technology and programming languages, look to add value;
  • Introduce best practices and new solutions to improve speed, usability, and performance.

Candidate Specification:

  • The drive to deliver quality products in a timely manner;
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Software Engineering experience with a product focus;
  • B.S. in CS/Engineering or equivalent;
  • 2+ years developing applications in iOS
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented concepts;
  • Knowledge of Multithreaded programming;
  • Experience with HTML5 based applications;
  • Experience with Web Services is a plus.
