MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER- WATER SECTOR

STAMFORD, NEAR PETERBOROUGH

UP TO 280 A DAY, FLEXIBLE ON EXPERIENCE.

MINIMUM 6 MONTH CONTRACT.

Skilled Mechanical Project Engineer needed to join a small works team for a global leading organisation serving the wet infrastructure sector. This opportunity has arisen due to an increased amount of work in their small works division, providing maintenance and upgrades to water and waste water facilities.

The Role:

* Provide technical support to multidiscipline teams for mechanical design of works for clean and waste water plants, pumping stations and tanks.
* Assist the Project Manager in coordinating an operative and economic plant design, ensuring information is communicated accurately and in time to enable construction and commissioning carry out the work in line with the Contract programme.
* Provide cost date forecasts and evaluations of variations, ensuring project costs do not exceed the tender or varied allowance.
* Liaise with the project manager, subcontractors and site management in providing technical support in all aspects of the project.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

* Formal industry applicable qualification: HNC/ NVQ/ B. Eng. in Mechanical engineering.
* Working knowledge of various conditions of contract especially IChemE & NEC.
* Experience and understanding of water and sewage treatment processes.
* Commercial and contractual awareness.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Good understanding of electrical drawings.
