Wintel Second Line Server Support Engineer

We are actively searching for a Wintel 2nd line server Support Engineer to support our clients Wintel server architecture and users. We are looking for 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar function.

The engineer will be integrated in a team (Second level Support Server), part of the Operations Support/Distributed Systems division, which is in charge of the processing of all Wintel server architecture related incidents.

Description:

Acting as Second Line Support for the Wintel Server infrastructure involves following responsibilities:

  • Solve standard and complex incidents (remote).
  • Provide feedback to the 3rd line engineering teams concerning infrastructure weakness and collaborate in finding possible improvements.
  • Participating in specific projects.

Education & Soft skills

  • Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience
  • Team player
  • Quick self-starter, pro-active attitude,
  • Good Communication skills;
  • Customer minded.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Autonomy, commitment and perseverance.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Mandatory Technical experience:

  • Good overall knowledge of the IT world.
  • Experience in large organisations (familiar with the ITIL processes)
  • MCP certified (or job equivalent knowledge) in Windows Server 2003 & 2008.

Preferable:

  • Able to write technical docs for other engineer as well as for end users
  • SCCM basic knowledge
  • Active Directory basic knowledge
  • Windows 7 knowledge
  • Office 2010 knowledge
  • English/French & Dutch speaking
