Position Description:

1. Lead a cross functional team to create a Brake system specification that fulfils the PALs target and legal requirements. 2. Use the engineering disciplines to create a DV programme to demonstrate that the attribute position is met. 3. Contribute to the vehicle level target balancing as part of the VIT and Vehicle Dynamics teams. Liaise with the VET. 4. Deliver Attribute Sign-off by undertaking some testing and monitoring tests delegated to the team. 5. Own and resolve any AIMs relating to Brake Attributes.

Skills Required:

You will have knowledge of brake system design and be able to identify the specifications that influence Brake attributes. You will have strong leadership skills and will have experience of leading issue resolution within cross-functional teams An understanding of related Chassis systems (such as suspension structures) is essential to participate in target balancing. Some degree of vehicle test or subjective evaluation experience is required. Ideally you will be degree qualified in a mechanical discipline. Usage of 6-sigma disciplines is desirable. Experience of modelling mechanical system interactions using simulation packages or Excel/VB is desirable Educated to Degree Level.
