Web Application Support Analyst - Linux, Unix, Windows

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Web Application Support Analyst. You will have broad technical expertise, initiative and proven ability to meet and exceed performance targets. You will support and maintain all Web IT systems and applications ensuring services are stable and performing to agreed SLAs.

As a Web Application Support Analyst you will possess these skills:

-Extensive and proven knowledge of complex web applications, and associated systems and components including Solaris and Unix/Linux administration, shell scripting, Apache/IBM IHS, J2EE application environments such as Websphere Application Server as well as database skills with MS SQL Server and DB2
-Good problem solving capability (thorough, systematic)
-Technical/Process documentation production skills
-A test oriented approach and be meticulous and detailed
-Good interpersonal and communication skills

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
-Good knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows operating systems
-Experience of installing desktop software applications
-Good understanding of complex web applications
-Proven ability in Linux/UNIX automated task scripting and scheduling
-Proven ability in Windows automated task scripting and scheduling
-Good understanding of MS SQL applications
-Good understanding of general SQL commands and syntax
-Proven ability to diagnose and identify problems within log files
-Good knowledge of networking concepts
-Good understanding of DNS
