Supplier Quality Engineer 6+ Month Contract South LondonAmoria Bond is urgently looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join one of our key clients based in the South London area. Our client, an established Medical Devices business is offering an initial 6 month contract to support the team working on one of their newest projects.
Based on site in South London you will be involved with supplier development activities including supplier auditing responsibility. This role demands a pragmatic and self motivated individual that can come in and emphasize natural engineering ability, remaining focused on the task in hand.
The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will have a strong Medical Devices background and will be able to demonstrate good supplier and customer liaison ability. The Supplier Quality Engineer will have experience of project management and cost reduction activities associated with this. They will be reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities
As the successful Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for building a good relationship with the businesses key suppliers but also be prepared to deal with its customer service area as well.
- Responsible for Supplier Quality development
- Responsible for Customer Service with regard to quality criteria
- Responsible for internal and external auditing
- SPC knowledge
- Good understanding of Med Devices Quality Systems/Standards (ISO13485)
- Managing Quality Cost Reduction activities
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years Medical Devices experience
- Lead Auditor Status (not essential but desirable)
- Strong understanding of supplier development
- Customer liaison experience (with regard to Quality)
- Pro active nature
- A good communicator
