The successful candidate would be responsible, both individually and as part of a team, for ensuring the structural integrity of any repair proposals, liaising with the design team to produce the most efficient repair solution. While at all times taking into account; stress, design and airworthiness requirements, along with the client, airline and maintenance organisation's requirements.

Carrying out static stress calculations using classical methods to check the structural integrity of proposed repair solutions.

Liaising with other functions to ensure stress requirements are fully integrated.

Ensuring fatigue and damage tolerance requirements are considered.

Working with design engineers, assisting in the structural design process, to develop repair solutions for in-service aircraft, ensuring optimised design quality, often under demanding deadlines from the airlines.

Interacting with the client to ensure prompt delivery of appropriate repair guidance to the maintenance organisation.

Reporting critical technical issues up through functional management.

Supporting on-going continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through methods, process and other capability improvements.
