Our Client; is seeking a qualified candidate for the position and is seeking an experienced senior Windows .NET developer to play a leading role in the design and implementation of a new system.
The senior Net Developer/Team Lead will have primary responsibility for managing the design, development, and integration of software applications. This will involve developing a suite of complex VB.NET Smart Client applications that interact with Oracle databases and external systems
The position requires an expert, enthusiastic, hands-on technologist. The senior NET Developer Lead should be comfortable architecting, designing, and building a suite of Windows-based business applications that will scale as appropriate to meet continuing business requirements. Primary responsibilities will include:
Assuming the technical/programming lead in the design and development of Smart Client based data driven applications.
Coding and unit testing applications that support the requirements defined by users, product managers, and business analysts.
Developing database schema design and tuning with Oracle Server.
Providing the Manager with work estimates and participating in scope setting.
Creating technical design documents from functional requirements/specifications.
Communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality and/or limitations of systems.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must possess:
A solid working knowledge of .NET, Oracle Server, Windows, and development practices for working with and leading team of developers.
Specific technical skills should include:
Object Oriented Programming: 7+ years
Design Pattern Practices: 5+ years
Windows Forms/.NET Framework: 4+ years
VB.NET or C#: 4+ years
Smart Client Architecture: 2+ years
Extensive experience in large-scale application architecture, design, and development using major tools such as ASP.NET/Windows.NET.
Experience architecting .NET web and web service solutions, Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation a plus.
7+ years with working knowledge of software releases, versioning, change control and source control systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities appropriately.
High motivation and leadership skills that inspire team members to reach beyond their abilities and deliver consistent results.
The selected candidate day to day activities will include @20% leadership, 70% design/analysis, coding, 10% help desk support. Candidate will be able to work with a diverse project team, and work in a highly visible and changing project environment with aggressive timelines.
PREFERENCES
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) or Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) certification preferred
