Background:
You will join the bank's Procurement Department which is built around Category Managers and Buyers, supported by Market Analysts. The objective is to optimise long term business value and ensure effective cost/spend management.

Tasks:
- manage contracts within the IT infrastructure sourcing team for the bank;
- ensure procurement of goods and services within the IT infrastructure category at the best possible value and on a sustainable basis (ie. negotiate supply)
- Negotiate assigned contracts following the procurement sourcing process;
- achieve spend reductions;
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and develop and maintain a network and long term relationship with assigned suppliers;
- Understand the key business drivers;
- Contribute actively in building a high performing professional procurement department that acts as a team across all categories and disciplines;
- Collaborate with other category stakeholders and the rest of the procurement team to create an integrated procurement process and organisation interface.
- define and implement the right purchasing strategy.
- share expertise and apply business best practices (Procurement team has 25 staff members);
- follow the procurement methodology
- represent the bank to external current and prospective suppliers.

Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in IT Purchasing or similar domain;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Understanding of contract and legal terminology.

Language: English (essential) plus French or Dutch (not essential but nice to have)
