As a Senior Applications Support Developer your responsibility will be to provide application support and development services to the organisations business applications.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide analysis, operational applications support, systems development and technical system administration services for departmental application systems environments.
  • Analyse business requirements, provide guidance and advice, design, build and implement application solutions
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary technology groups to troubleshoot problems then enhance application technologies utilising change control methodologies.
  • Actively develop, implement and maintain standards, guidelines and knowledge base articles for applications support, administration and development while ensuring compliance to relevant industry standards and policies.

Your Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in build, implementation and documentation of business applications in a MS Windows .NET environment.
  • Technical skills in ASP, .NET 1.1, 3.5 and 4, Microsoft (MS) Internet Information Systems 6 and 7.5, SQL Server 2008R2 including SSRS and SSIS.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge and expertise in the principles, techniques and current trends in systems development techniques and architectures in a technical environment including optimization, security, recovery and configuration management.
  • High level of ability to provide support and guidance for current web tools such as the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Expression studio; Web Content Management Systems and Web Analytical tools such as SharePoint, Funnelback and Webtrends Analytics.
  • High level of knowledge in security concepts relating to applications and web technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL and open web standards such as World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
  • Proven ability in supporting applications on physical and virtual (VMWare) MS Windows Servers including 2003 and 2008R2.
