My client is fast paced, commercially driven E-commerce business who is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager. You will have overall responsibility for the delivery of one or a number of approved infrastructure projects that are either standalone or associated with application change within the agreed timescales and budgets in order to realise the identified business benefits.
As an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager:
* Manage either a single infrastructure project or a number of infrastructure projects with a budget value up to 2,000,000
* Generally infrastructure projects will involve extensive levels of Supplier Management activity
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE required
* Sound infrastructure background, familiar with servers (both physical and virtual installations), storage (SAN, NAS, DAS - any vendor), Networks (WAN, LAN, Internet), Comms infrastructure (Active directory, anti-virus, security, asset management tools, cabling, power provision), Data Centre experience, migration of services
* Strong communication (verbal/written) and influencing skills, with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to senior levels of management
* Proven track record and ability in leading technical staff
* Very good Supplier Management skills
* Wide experience in delivering infrastructure project via third parties.
* Significant experience in a large organisation delivering and managing services and managing suppliers
* Good experience in performing the major elements of systems development: Analysis; Design; Development; Test for Infrastructure change.
* Project Management qualification or certification
* Has managed at least 3 infrastructure projects through the Full Project Life Cycle using a structured methodology.
* Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of infrastructure
* Anticipates problems and identifies long-term implications of decisions and actions
* Very good knowledge of ITIL processes
A solid background of Infrastructure Project Management within an Agile, Retail environment previously.
