Summary:
Client ready to hire and needs you to start ASAP! As the Windows System Administrator you will serve as primary contact for managing, handling, and resolving all IT related matters including network design, management of Servers, backup, storage, documentation, security, and virus prevention as well as IT support to all internal users. Ability to grasp new technologies and skills in both informal circumstances and through structured training are critical. Most successful candidates will have ability to think outside the box, a problem-solver with the ability to work with little to no supervision. Will serve as t eam of one and be part of a team in high growth mode! This is a 2-3 month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as primary point of contact and manage all IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery software
  • System security procedures
  • Trend Micro Anti-virus software product(s)
  • Software patching techniques
  • System health monitoring
  • Working knowledge of networking infrastructure components
  • Project management, able to address end-user client needs promptly and effectively

Qualifications:

  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and managing Windows Server and XP/Vista/Win7
  • 5+years of solid experience in the Active Directory realm. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory, as well as skills necessary for change and configuration management including DNS, Group Policy and Active Directory Security solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of Active Directory DC design, schema, OU design, AD replication topology, and DC backup/restore procedures
  • Strong background with designing and implement Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft SQL
  • SharePoint server 2007
  • BS/BA degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Desirable: Linux, Cisco Pix, Nortel Phone system, Document Management System experience, MSCE, MCP certifications
