Description
A Senior Systems Engineer is required for a contract role based in Rochdale for a 5 months duration.The Systems Engineer will be required for a large scale core infrastructure change programme, including the move to a new head office building. This will include VMWare virtualisation of all physical servers.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server platforms
Excellent knowledge of VMWare ESx Server/VSphere platforms 3.5-5x
Excellent knowledge of MS Windows
Ability to resolve technical issues
Understanding of server, application and network security
Understanding of SAN storage
Understanding of Active Directory
Understanding of networking, including IP addressing, routing, DHCP and DNS
